1The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
2Abraham begat Isaac, and Isaac begat Jacob, and Jacob begat Judah and his brethren;
3and Judah had Phares and Zara by Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom,
4and Esrom begat Aram, and Aram begat Aminadab, and Aminadab begat Naasson, and Naasson begat Salmon,
5and Salmon had Booz by Rahab, and Booz had Obed by Ruth,
6and Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David the king, and David had Solomon by her who had been the wife of Uriah.
7And Solomon begat Roboam, and Roboam begat Abia,
8and Abia begat Asa, and Asa begat Josaphat, and Josaphat begat Joram,
9and Joram begat Ozias, and Ozias begat Joatham, and Joatham begat Ahaz, and Ahaz begat Ezechias,
10and Ezechias begat Manasses, and Manasses begat Amon,
11and Amon begat Josias, and Josias begat Jakim, and Jakim begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time of their being carried away to Babylon.
12And after the captivity of Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel,
13and Salathiel begat Zorobabel, and Zorobabel begat Abiud, and Abiud begat Eliakim, and Eliakim begat Azor,
14and Azor begat Sadok, and Sadok begat Achim,
15and Achim begat Eliud, and Eliud begat Eleazar, and Eleazar begat Matthan, and Matthan begat Jacob,
16and Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ.

25the son of Janna, the son of Joseph, the son of Mattathias, the son of Amos, the son of Naum, the son of Esli,
26the son of Naggai, the son of Maath, the son of Mattathias, the son of Semei, the son of Joseph, the son of Juda,
27the son of Joanna, the son of Rhesa, the son of Zorobabel, the son of Salathiel, the son of Neri, the son of Melchi,
28the son of Addi, the son of Kosam, the son of Elmodam,
29the son of Er, the son of Joses, the son of Eliezer, the son of Jorim, the son of Matthat, the son of Levi,
30the son of Simeon, the son of Juda, the son of Joseph, the son of Jonan, the son of Eliakim,
31the son of Melea, the son of Menan, the son of Mattatha,
32the son of Nathan, the son of David, the son of Jesse, the son of Obed, the son of Booz, the son of Salmon,
33the son of Naasson, the son of Aminadab, the son of Aram, the son of Esrom, the son of Phares,
34the son of Juda, the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham, the son of Thara, the son of Nachor,
35the son of Saruch, the son of Ragau, the son of Phalec, the son of Heber, the son of Sala, the son of Cainan,
36the son of Arphaxad, the son of Sem, the son of Noe,
37the son of Lamech, the son of Mathusala, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Maleleel, the son of Cainan,
38the son of Enos, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of GOD.

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2The same was in the beginning with God.
3By Him were all things made, and without Him was not any one thing made that was made.
4In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5And the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness attained it not.

9The true light was that which enlightneth every man that cometh into the world.
10He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and yet the world knew Him not:

14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, being full of grace and truth: and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only-begotten of the Father.
